Shoplifting/ Theft Prevention

Caught shoplifting or otherwise stealing? Not only can the experience be totally embarrassing, more importantly, stealing has terrible legal consequences. On occasion, retailers are willing to forgo pressing charges if offenders agree to complete a shoplifting program. In some cases, offenders are required to participate in such anti-theft programs as part of a plea or probation requirement.  Classes are held in a safe NO-JUDGEMENT ZONE environment. Who should take GOTCHA!?

  • Individuals that have been caught shoplifting at retail stores (e.g. Family Dollar, Walmart, Lowes Home Depot, Target, General Dollar, Macy’s, etc.)
  • Individuals charged with theft by receiving or deception (aka boosting)
  • Individuals placed on probation, in diversion programs, or ordered to undergo a shoplifting treatment program

Class uses Something for Nothing workbook by Correctional Counseling, Inc. Class meets for one eight-hour session in a group setting.
